For teams — ProAttitudes
For organizations & teams

Your people perform under pressure.
Help them recover under it, too.

Strong teams rarely break from the work. They wear down from never recovering between it. We train the moment that decides whether pressure compounds — or clears.

The hidden cost

It isn't effort. It's recovery.

Your team has the talent and the drive. What erodes performance is the noise — rumination, burnout, the inner critic running meetings it was never invited to. Gallup puts the global cost of low engagement at $8.8 trillion. The most engaged teams run about 23% more profitable.

Performance is a deposit. Burnout is a withdrawal.

Recovery speed

The teams that last aren't the ones that never get hit. They're the ones that recover faster, together.

The Inner Critic Cost Calculator

The inner critic doesn't stay in one person's head. It shows up as rumination, burnout, missed days, turnover, and meetings that circle — and every hour of it is on payroll. Put in your numbers. See the annual bill, and what focused training wins back.

How this is calculated — and the research behind it

Every figure is your own input run through a transparent formula. Time is valued at salary ÷ 2,080 hrs (hourly) and salary ÷ 260 days (daily), across 46 working weeks.

The five drivers

  • Rumination = weekly hours × hourly rate × 46 weeks × employees — the cost of being present but depleted (presenteeism).
  • Sick days = days × daily rate × employees.
  • Burnout = burned-out headcount × 34% of salary in lost productivity.
  • Turnover = departures × 0.75 × salary to replace (Gallup's range is 0.5–2×).
  • Collaboration = decline % × annual team output value.

Why the headline is lower than the five lines

Those drivers overlap, so the headline applies a conservative 25% overlap discount. It is an under-statement by design.

What's recoverable

The recoverable figure assumes a conservative 25% is winnable through training. The most-engaged teams run ~18% more productive and ~23% more profitable, so recovering a quarter of the gap is modest.

The research

  • Turnover: replacing one employee costs 50–200% of salary. Gallup.
  • Burnout: a peer-reviewed 2025 model puts the yearly cost per person at ~$4,257 (salaried) to $20,683 (executive). Am. J. Preventive Medicine. Burned-out staff are 63% more likely to take a sick day, 2.6× more likely to job-hunt. Gallup.
  • Collaboration: poor communication wastes ~7.47 hrs/employee/week, up to $1.2T/yr across U.S. business. Grammarly & The Harris Poll.
  • The stakes: low engagement costs the global economy ~$8.8T (~9% of GDP). Gallup.

A directional estimate for planning, not an audit. Every assumption is conservative by design.

The mechanism

The brain decides before your people do.
We train them to get there first.

The Moment
The brain detects
Trigger
The body fires
Reaction

Cognitive processing feels involuntary: the brain detects a trigger, selects a response, and commands the body to move — before “you” are consulted. Under pressure, that loop runs faster and the window closes harder. That’s why the smartest plan in the world loses to a Tuesday.

You can’t stop the trigger. But the window between trigger and reaction can be trained — widened, recognized, and owned. That’s the work: turning an automatic reflex into a deliberate choice, one Moment at a time.
